Frequently Asked QuestionsIn this section, I will endeavour to answer some of the more common questions I am regularly asked. Consultations I offer a free no obligation consultation by appointment daytimes and evenings including weekends at my base in Hertford. If you book an appointment you will be given a printed copy of our discussions and itemised estimate to take away from the consultation. Your date is then kept open for 4 weeks from the date of the consultation for you to decide if you want to confirm.
When do I need to book? For weddings bookings are generally made 12 months prior to the wedding date. However I can take bookings for weddings more than 12 months in advance and, if the date is free, as little as 2 weeks notice may be possible. For other occasions please contact me.
Booking Fee In the case of weddings and functions, I ask for a small booking fee with the confirmation which is non refundable and deducted from the final invoice.
How many weddings per day? As I do all the flowers myself I generally book only one wedding per day. However under certain circumstances, where it will not compromise the quality of my service two weddings may be accommodated.
Minimum Order. There is no minimum I am able to work to whatever budget you have available.
Budget If you have a budget I am happy to make suggestions for designs that would keep within it but also keeping to your colour scheme Delivery I deliver the Bridal party flowers to the bride on the morning and also set up the venue on the day. Churches are sometimes set up the day before or on the morning depending on your individual requirements & timings. Funeral Tributes can be delivered to local funeral directors or home addresses on the morning of the service. Gift orders can be delivered, please contact me for further details.
Buttonholes All the men’s buttonholes’ are supplied with pins and ladies corsages on magnets ready to attach. They are normally delivered with the bridal bouquet or to the venue.
Portfolio I have many photographs of previous commissions and mini videos of many local venues that you can look through, however if you have seen something you like in a magazine I am also happy to work from that.
Flowers All flowers are ordered specifically for your requirements and only the best quality and freshest are used. They are never stored longer than necessary to get them to their peak on your day. Bouquets are delivered packed in damp tissue and cool blocks if necessary on hot days and do not need to be touched until they are required. I do not work with silk or dried flowers.
Containers I have a range of vases and containers available on loan or I can supply and include them in the price if you wish to give them away. If you have your own containers I am also happy to use them. Anything on loan I arrange to collect from the venue after the event.
Extra Costs As I am a small business I am not VAT registered so all prices are inclusive and there is no extra delivery costs within my area.
Final Numbers I ask for final confirmation of numbers etc about 7 to 10 days before the event at which time a final invoice is produced.
Unforeseen circumstances I make up all the flowers, deliver and set up everything myself but if anything unforeseen happens I do have back up people available to do it. |
